Within the last 20 years at the College of Charleston, the student population has increased and white students have typically held between 75% and 85% majority while the African American student population has declined. In this episode we speak with Zaylee Butler, a member of C40 and a Student Ambassador, to discuss how the terms “Diversity and Inclusion” are evident at the institution. Zaylee will be spearheading a YouTube talk show called “Poppin Politico” in the near future that focuses on all things trendy and political so keep an eye out for updates from her. You can follow Zaylee on IG @lilzayjr. Below are the attached links provided by the College of Charleston Institutional Research, Planning and Information Management Census Data on Student Demographics for the Fall of 1998, the Fall of 2008 and the Fall of 2018, respectively.
